Fashion Hero: Sharon Needles

Oh my god, Sharon, Sharon, Sharon.
It's not really an unknown fact that I'm a little bit in love with RuPaul's drag race. Each season I have a fascination with a queen (Pandora Boxx, Manila Luzon, etc.), but when my girl Sharon Needles came along, I became obsessed. I totally could relate to Sharon. I felt like I could totally see Sharon-esque qualities in myself. She was the different one in the pack of bubblegum pink lipstick, cute wigs, and pink sequins. She wore octopus tentacles, dripped mouthfuls of fake blood, and wore white contacts. I dug it. She gave me my motto "When in doubt, freak 'em out". Plus, there is something so effortlessly cool about Sharon, I can't really help myself but be obsessed with her.
So, friends, please enjoy this style board of my dear Sharon Needles.
here's a link to the online version, where you can see where to buy the items.

Fashion Hero: Lyn-Z

I've had the biggest girl crush on Lyn-Z forever. She's such a baddie! Her style is kind of schoolgirl-gone-bassist-without-looking-like-a-whore. I constantly am taking both fashion and life tips from her.

Got these two epic rings from Kokorokoko in Chicago. That place is awesome.

I finally got to dye my hair!

yes! It's true! I did!
My mom and I have been arguing over this since literally like, 5th grade. I have probably wanted my hair to be every color from blonde to blue. Finally we decided. I really really really either wanted black or green. I convinced her to let me have black with green tips. How I convinced her, I have no idea.
So I bought the dyes, and did the black, then bleached the ends and put the green dye over the bleach.
It looked terrible.
Imagine if you took a mixing bowl and poured in 50% Sprite and 50% Nuclear Waste. That color was on my hair! I flipped out.
I ended up just buying more black dye and putting it over the tips. This all took place over the course of a day. And if that wasn't enough damage, yesterday I brushed out the dread locks that had formed in my hair from me not brushing it. It literally felt like someone ripping out every hair on my head then pulling on the skin. I was almost crying. But I just played banjo music during this process on my computer so I could feel like I was in a Wes Anderson movie.
But either ways, behold, my new and improved hair! I look like crap in the picture, so don't mind me.
